What is the difference between
VASER LipoSelection® and VASER® High Definition?
The difference
is that VASER® high def targets muscle groups to define
them, while
LipoSelection® targets pockets of stubborn
fat just to get rid of them. VASER® is intended for
physically fit, active individuals wishing to increase
already existent muscle tone.
LipoSelection®, however, is
a procedure intended for individuals that have stubborn
pockets of fat on their body that they can’t get rid of.
This fat collection may be due to a predisposition to
store fat in certain areas and the inability to get rid
of the fat once it is stored.
How does VASER® High Definition
work?
VASER® –
Assisted High Definition LipoSculpture, or VASER® Hi
Def™, is an advanced body sculpting technique. The
procedure creates a sculpted, athletic appearance in
males and females by precisely removing both superficial
and deep fat around muscle groups in order to enhance
the visibility of the underlying musculature. VASER® Hi
Def takes into account the shape and form of structures

designed to be a sculpting procedure rather than a
debulking technique. Therefore, the procedure is
intended for generally fit men and women who have good
muscle tone, exercise regularly, and have good quality
skin. The typical patient maintains a healthy lifestyle
through diet and exercise, but is unable to achieve the
desired definition.
What areas of
the body can be treated?
VASER® Hi Def can be performed on
multiple body areas including the abdomen, female
breast, male chest, back, arms, thighs, buttocks, hips
and waist.
What can I expect
after my procedure?
After the procedure, patients
are often able to return to normal activity after a
couple of days. Most patients report minimal pain and
swelling. Occasionally there are some patients who
experience more pain or bruising than others, although
this is not typical. The first signs of the improved
muscle definition can be seen at about two weeks when
the post-procedural swelling has resolved. After about a
month the patient can usually resume their exercise
routine. By two months, the appearance may be close to
maximum in the morning but may be less optimal as the
day progresses due to the onset of swelling throughout
the day. Final results are seen after about four months.
