How Does Obagi Blue Peel® Work & What should I expect?
During an Obagi Blue Peel® with us in Orlando, you will receive a one- to four-step application of the Obagi Blue Peel® based on your skin analysis and your desired level of transformation.
An Obagi Blue Peel® treatment is performed in office and usually takes under 30 minutes to complete. The Blue Peel is applied to the skin and your provider can adjust the application of the peel based on how fast it penetrates into the skin and the areas being treated. A mild burning sensation will occur that generally lasts only a few minutes.
What is the Recovery Process for an Obagi Blue Peel®?
After the procedure, patients may see a bluish tint to the skin and some slight swelling that will disappear within 12-24 hours. The skin will begin to peel within two or three days, and the peeling process will go on for up to one week. During this time, there may be some discomfort, itching and mild burning. The skin should heal completely from the Blue Peel treatment within ten days. For the majority of our Orlando Obagi Blue Peel® patients, this peeling does not disrupt their daily routine.
When will I see my Glowing Results?
Once your skin has completely recovered and is finished peeling, after 7-10 days you will notice a visible improvement in your complexion. Your skin’s appearance should continue to improve for the next 4 to 6 weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier, and more youthful looking. We recommend our Obagi Blue Peel® patients to begin the Obagi Nu-Derm® System 4-6 weeks prior to treatment to intensify peel results and continue the regimen to maintaining firmer, clearer, smoother, glowing skin.
